Scabiosa Pods

I love Scabiosa Pods. They remind me of mini paper flower pommanders. I love the way they rustle and almost rattle when they move.  A scabiosa pod is the beautiful remmant of the scabiosa flower once it dies and fades away. These pods just ooze texture into floral arrangements and lucky for us, they’re available year round. I enjoy using them in centerpieces, bouquets, boutonnieres and in floral hairpieces.

Below are a few of my favorite arrangements using scabiosa pods.

So, what are your thoughts on scabiosa pods and would you use them in your arrangements?
